VISITORS to Lulworth Castle were transported back to the 17th century during exciting re-enactments of the English Civil War.
Gun-firing displays and artillery demonstrations formed part of the Bank Holiday entertainment, performed by hundreds of members of the English Civil War Society. Crowds were given an insight into how soldiers and their families lived, as well as the chance to visit the ‘gentry’ in the castle.
Guns and other weapons were also on display and cookery and crafts skills were shown to members of the public.
