HUNDREDS of patriotic townsfolk lined the streets of Dorchester for a traditional St George’s Day parade.
Scouts and Cubs and Girl Guides and Brownies underwent an inspection outside the town’s United Church in South Street before marching through the town.
The parade was accompanied by music from the Dorchester Carnival Band and was cheered on by hundreds of onlookers.
The parade, which took in Church Street, Acland Road and High East Street, ended back at the church for a service.
District commissioner Mike Marsh said: “The church was full, so we must have had about 300 people parading in total.
“All in all it was an excellent day – the weather held off and the carnival band was excellent as always.”
