BRIDE and groom Natalie Fitzgerald and Nathan Hunter celebrated their dream wedding, courtesy of the Dorset Echo and The Portland Spa.

The couple tied the knot at the Portland venue after winning their dream wedding package worth over £15,000 in the Echo’s competition last September.

Since claiming the prize, the couple have been busy planning their dream day at the Portland Spa and the occasion didn’t disappoint.

Bride Natalie said: “The whole day was amazing – we just can’t fault it. The Portland Spa Hotel and all of the suppliers did such a fantastic job. I can’t pick a best bit, it was all so perfect.”

Nathan added: “It was such an amazing day. We’ve got some fabulous memories of the whole thing. It was so much fun.”

The pair spent the day before the wedding relaxing in the spa facilities with friends and family before spending the night at the four-star hotel.

Natalie started her big day with a trip to Portland salon Dynamics Hair Design before donning her wedding dress from Posh Frocks and Bridal Gowns. Flowers for the occasion were supplied by Fiona Penny.

Fifty-one guests attended the ceremony, as the couple exchanged vows and rings designed and produced by local goldsmith Daniel Moran. After the service the newlyweds were accompanied by close family and friends on a limousine trip with Here 2 There cars to Portland Bill, where Daniel Rushell took photographs.

After enjoying a creation from Lisa Notley Wedding Cakes, the evening reception began with the couple’s first dance choreographed by local dance instructor Julia Storey.

Entertainment on the night was provided by magicians David Days and Martin Rees and Pegasus Discos. The couple spent the night in the hotel’s honeymoon suite and are currently enjoying their honeymoon in Wales.

Mother-of-the-bride Maria Crandon said: “The day was like a fairytale for Nathan and Natalie. We were looked after so well all day by the staff.”

Portland Spa’s marketing executive Kim Madley said: “This whole competition wouldn’t have been possible if it were not for the dedication of all of the local suppliers.

“We have many more weddings coming up and the suppliers will be highly recommended.

“I would call them the ‘dream wedding team’ as most of them knew each other and co-ordinated things between themselves – definitely a good team to call upon if you want a wedding to go without any complications.”
