Would-be house buyers are invited to find out about the new Government-backed initiative HomeBuy Direct.
An evening event at Barratt’s Purbeck Gate development in Wool on Thursday, April 23, will enable buyers to find out more about the new shared equity scheme.
Mark Docherty, Barratt sales director, said: “We are inviting first-time buyers and key workers who might otherwise be priced out of the housing market to come along and speak to the sales staff at Purbeck Gate and find out how we can help to get you on the housing ladder.
“They only have to secure financing for 70 per cent of the purchase price and no deposit is required.
“Barratt matches the Government’s funding to provide the 30 per cent equity loan to the buyer.”
HomeBuy Direct buyers can redeem the loan in instalments, purchasing up to 100 per cent of the equity after their initial purchase, by buying additional equity at the market rate.
When complete, Purbeck Gate will offer a selection of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes.
