A WALKER suffered a nasty head wound after slipping on rocks at a beach near Lyme Regis.
Coastguards were alerted by the 60-year-old walker, who was holiday from Surrey, after he fell and cut his head near the water’s edge on Monmouth Beach.
The man was concerned because the tide was coming in and he was bleeding badly.
He was airlifted to Dorset County Hospital for treatment.
