THE Easter holidays arrived for the children at Milborne St Andrew First School in a smashing way, as they started the final morning of the term with an egg-rolling competition.
Parents were invited to stay on for assembly and to watch the Eggstravaganza!
Each child had decorated their own hard-boiled egg and prizes were donated by the Friends of the School for the best decorated egg in each class, and of course a prize for the egg which rolled the furthest from each class.
The Friends of the School also rounded off the fun event with hot cross buns for everyone, and coffee and buns for the parents.
- MILBORNE St Andrew’s Wednesday Social Club is hosting a charity fun fashion show in the village hall on Saturday, May 9 at 7pm.
Fashions are kindly being provided by M & Co of Blandford and the models are volunteers of all ages from within the community, including a pair of 18-month-old twins!
It promises to be a fun night in aid of a good cause, a donation from the evening is to go to Mosaic (www.mosaicfamilysupport.org.uk) a Dorset-wide charity providing support for bereaved children and their families.
Tickets are £3.50 each (no charge for children) which includes a glass of wine and are available from the Wednesday Social Club, Friday morning drop-in, village lunch and M & Co Blandford.
