AS the first ‘Scattering of Scarecrows’ in 2007 was such a success, it has been decided that a second scattering will take place in conjunction with the Open Gardens and Craft Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, June 6 and 7, organised by St Martin’s Church.
So, please, families, individuals and organisations start thinking about your entry, as an added incentive will be an award of the Broadmayne Scarecrow Cup which will be judged by children of the village and presented to the winner at the July meeting of the parish council.
All scarecrows must be displayed within the Broadmayne parish boundary.
Registration forms are now available from the Corner House Stores and must be completed and returned by Friday, May 22.
