Two wards have reopened at Dorset County Hospital following an outbreak of norovirus.
Last week the hospital was hit by the rapidly spreading airborne virus that causes severe vomiting and diarrhoea.
Following a deep clean at the weekend two wards – Purbeck Ward for orthopaedics and the Coronary Care unit have re-opened.
Today, a deep cleaning session is planned for the Day Lewis Ward and staff hope it will reopen at the end of the day.
At the weekend Barnes Ward, a 29-bedded ward for elderly care was closed and the medical cardiology ward Hinton remains closed.
Visitors to the hospital are urged to help contain the spread of the airborne virus by not going to the hospital unless it is essential.
