• TABLE top sales are being held outside Alf’s Fish and Chip Shop on the first Saturday of the month from Saturday March 1 until September.

The sales are to raise money to take pensioners from various clubs and sheltered housing to include Dorset Close Centre and Fairway Court on trips to Rhododendron Mile.

John Pearce welcomes donations for the trips or items for the sale and these can be taken to the chip shop at any time.

  • Congratulations goes to Ryan Hope who has been nominated and is in the last 11 of the CHANGEit Awards.

Ryan was nominated for his work with the Youth Forum, in particular for the work on the garden of Fairway Court.

If he gets through to the finals he will be expected to attend a Media Training Session before the award ceremony which will be in London on Thursday, April 30.
