A DEVELOPER has spoken of his delight after his firm won a prestigious national green award.
Kim Slowe, managing director, of Poundbury-based ZeroC Kim Slowe said his team had worked very hard in recent years to create a sustainability expertise that is second to none in UK house building.
He spoke after ZeroC fought off competition from national house builders to win the Sustainable Developer of the Year at the What House? awards in London.
Judges said they were impressed with ZeroC’s green commitment and its ability to deliver highly sustainable homes within both traditional and contemporary architecture.
The company is involved in some high-profile projects in Dorset but also builds houses throughout the UK.
Mr Slowe said: “We are very focused on delivering well-designed homes that are great to live in, but address the many challenges that the world is facing today, such as global warming and lack of security in energy supply.”
