JUST HOW GREEN HAVE YOU BEEN
YOGA teacher Margaret Tidball says: I TRY to be as green as possible and have been working on it for 10 years.
I’m aware of the harm we’re doing to the planet and think very carefully about everything I use including things like tin foil, aluminium cans and plastic bottles.
I also try my best not to purchase items with too much packaging. One has to think very carefully about one’s carbon footprint.
I keep car usage to a minimum and use my bicycle or my two feet whenever possible, which also keeps me fit.
I grow my own vegetables which saves using supermarkets and if I do buy fruit and veg I ensure I buy local.
I have solar panels at home and good insulation which keeps the heating bills down.
I’m a member of the Weymouth and Portland Transition Town group. We had a successful autumn fayre last week which raised £833.
Watch this space because we’ll be organising more events in the future.
