STAFF at a Dorset animal sanctuary are using their bikes to help the environment.
Employees at Margaret Green Animal Rescue are using pedal power to get around the sanctuary which is at Church Knowle, near Wareham.
Marketing manager Donna White said as well as being environmentally friendly it is helping to keep people fit.
She said staff were now also growing vegetables for the animals to eat.
There is also a scheme running where printer cartridges and mobile phones can be recycled to raise money for the sanctuary.
The sanctuary is dedicated to the rehoming of animals which have been rescued through being unwanted, abandoned and ill-treated, or through local authority stray dog contracts.
