- THE Emerald Stars of Weymouth majorette troupe are holding a sponsored leg wax event at St Paul’s Church Hall on Sunday, November 16 at 1.30pm This is an open event and they would like to invite people to come and cheer on their Dads as they have their legs waxed to raise funds for the troupe.
Refreshments, tombola and a raffle will also be available.
- A FURTHER reminder of the Christmas Bazaar to be held at St Paul’s Church, Abbotsbury Road on Saturday, November 22 from 11am.
There will be Tombola, Toys, Books, Cakes, Games, Gifts, Cards, Refreshments and so much more, not forgetting Father Christmas.
There will be performances from June Hornby Dancers at 11.30am, Majorettes at 11.45am and Beechcroft St. Paul's School Choir at noon.
The big draw carries a first prize of £100, tickets on sale on the day in the Parish Centre, or beforehand from SPOT charity shop on Abbotsbury Road.
The organisers look forward to the usual wonderful support from the people of Westham.
- ABOUT 80 youngsters had a great time at the first Halloween Disco at Beechcroft St Paul’s on Friday, October 31and were suitably dressed up for the occasion.
The disco was arranged by the Westham Youth Forum and many of the adult helpers also were in fancy dress.
It is hoped to hold another one next year.
