Dave arrived at 6.30am for our journey north. He would be doing all the driving on what would turn out to be a 1400 mile marathon. We were soon on our way to Nantwich and after a coffee break on the M5 found the pool nestling just off the M6 motorway. Satnav is a wonderful thing if it is working properly! As we pulled into the car park, I asked a lady with a couple of kids where the pool was. “There it is” she said rather proudly “ It is wonderful”. And so it was and the bonus for me was that it was a brine pool with a beautiful salty taste. Linda greeted us at reception, a cheerful lady who kindly donated to our cause before we left. By the time we got on poolside, Dave the pool manager was there with his own camera and was happy to take the team photo for our records as well. The pool was lovely with flower baskets lining the length of it’s sides. We rattled off the required number of laps in good time and quickly made our exit as we had a tight schedule that day.
