This was the day we were to get back onto the lido trail. With another 30 lidos to swim we were more than ready for what lay ahead. This time we had allocate three days and Dave arrived slightly ahead of schedule just before 6.30am. It was a long 5-hour journey to our first pool at Halesworth in Suffolk. With Dave at the wheel, the drive went well with little traffic hold-up and we even had time meet up with Mike Read in Ipswich for a quick chat. We arrived at Halesworth just after 12 noon to be greeted by the friendly young staff. The pool was virtually empty as it was cloudy and trying to rain. We completed our 64 lengths of the 25 metre pool in good time and the lady supervisor was very happy to sign our form and send us on our way.
