We made another fairly short drive negotiating the London traffic. A very enthusiastic lady at reception who waved us through greeted us. This was another lovely pool 70 x 30 freshwater unheated and clearly well used. We joined the other swimmers plodding up and down but because it was wide, we had no problems negotiating the traffic. The pool had a stainless steel shell, which was put in 5 years ago by a Swedish Company Invarmex and in the morning sunshine, gleamed and looked rather splendid as we swam along. When we got out, we noticed hundreds of photographs (some large, most small) all containing scenes of the lido presumably taken during the past few years. These were wonderful: ladies with small tattoos, your local bruiser, kids jumping in. These were all scenes that you would expect to see when you visited a lido, which was broadly serving a widely based community.
