The cold maybe upon us but the warmth of Christmas is all around us as local companies continue donating to the Dorset Echo’s 25th Toy Appeal

It means that children who are less fortunate will still have something to unwrap from Santa on Christmas morning.

Last year our campaign raised more than £5,125 and helped more than 700 children across the region, including Weymouth, Portland, Dorchester and Bridport.

The Society Of Dorset Men have donated to the appeal again this year with generous £100 donation.

The society was founded in 1904 in London to help young Dorset men moving to the capital.

Nowadays, based in Dorset, it exists to promote good fellowship between Dorset men everywhere and to foster love of the county and pride in its history and traditions.

Peter Lush, chairman, said: "The Society Of Dorset Men also supports Dorset charities and are pleased to once again donate to the Dorset Echo Toy Appeal which does such sterling work in helping make less fortunate children’s Christmas the magic time it should be for all."

Individuals can also support the toy appeal by donating new toys and gifts to our appeal bins located around the county.

All toys donated will be collected and distributed to children who really appreciate them just before Christmas

Every penny of each donation goes directly to providing the gifts to those less fortunate in Dorset.
