A man has been taken into police custody for breaching his bail conditions.
He is set appear in court tomorrow (Monday, December 2).
It is also alleged that a man had stolen two bottles of vodka and a cheese and tomato sandwich from a Weymouth shop.
A spokesperson for Weymouth and Portland Police said: “As we started our shift this afternoon a shoplifting was reported within the town centre, with the BID Ranger and CSAS Officers locating the male nearby.
“He had two bottles of vodka and the remains of a cheese and tomato sub roll, none of which had been paid for, and he was someone who we had been looking for in relation to another recent theft in another store.
“The male was also in breach of his court bail conditions and so will remain in our custody cells before popping along to court on Monday.”
