VULNERABLE and marginalised people will be supported thanks to a new partnership.

Titan Manufacturing, based on the Granby Industrial Estate, has teamed up with The Lantern Trust, to focus on providing financial support for those most in need.

The collaboration is for an initial 12-month period to help the charity continue its important work of offering a lifeline to the most vulnerable people in Weymouth and beyond.

Over the next year, the company will be offering a significant financial contribution to the charity once a quarter.

These donations will be allocated to specific areas of the charity, with a focus on tackling the most pressing challenges currently being faced by vulnerable and marginalised people in their local community.

Ryan Hanger, director at Titan Manufacturing, said: “We are wholeheartedly committed to the ethos of The Lantern Trust, and we firmly believe our business and personal values align with those of the charity.

“Having seen first-hand, through members of our own team, how challenging times and homelessness can affect anyone, we are passionate about supporting those in need and are delighted to partner with such a fantastic and impactful organisation.”

Founded in 1983, The Lantern Trust focuses on helping people gain confidence, be included in society, and break free from poverty and hardship.

Based in Weymouth, the charity has crisis, recovery and mental health & wellbeing hubs around the community, as well as ongoing outreach initiatives.

It is an incredibly important resource for the town and has already made a significant positive change to the communities it works within.

Mike Graham, CEO of The Lantern Trust, said: “We are incredibly grateful for the support of Titan Manufacturing.

The specific areas of support that the financial donations are earmarked for include housing support, helping individuals secure stable living arrangements; mental health support, offering critical resources to those facing mental health challenges; homelessness support; and benefit advice, helping individuals access financial support and entitlements.

Jon Higson, manging director at Titan Manufacturing, added: “We believe in the power of community and are proud to partner with The Lantern Trust to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the vulnerable and marginalised adults in Dorset. We’re excited to work closely with them and support their incredible work.”
