A man was injured in a crash between a motorbike and van - forcing a major Weymouth road to close for several hours.
Just after 5.30pm yesterday evening, the two vehicles collided near Morrisons on Dorchester Road in Weymouth.
Paramedics attended along with the police, and a man in his 20s was taken to hospital with what police has described as 'minor injuries'.
The road was closed for several hours whilst emergency services responded to the crash.
One nearby driver saw the emergency services arrive.
They said: “I saw loads of blue lights heading in the direction of Morrisons. I hope everything was okay.”
The road reopened just before 9pm and no arrests were made.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "At 5.41pm on Thursday, November, we received a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a van in Dorchester Road in Weymouth near the Morrisons supermarket.
"Officers were in attendance with the ambulance service.
"The road was temporarily closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
"A man aged in his 20s was taken to hospital for treatment to a minor injury.
"No arrests made.
"Officers left the scene at around 8.55pm."
