A streetlight damaged in a crash has finally been repaired.
As reported by the Echo, a car crashed into a streetlight on Weymouth Way, leaving it bent.
A two-way traffic light system was put in place today to allow the works to safely take place.
The works were supposed to have occurred within a 15-day time frame, but took place four days late.
Following the crash, the streetlight was cut down to a stump and taped off whilst it awaited repair.
The damage was reported to Dorset Council with a spokesperson previously saying: “As per our standard process for damaged street light columns, it will be replaced within 15 days of the damage being reported to us.”
The crash took place at around 9.45pm on Saturday, November 9.
Police have confirmed that no injuries were reported and that recovery was arranged for vehicle later that night.
