A total of ten people have been arrested in connection to reports of thefts from vehicles in Dorchester.
Neighbourhood policing officers have made three further arrests following multiple reports of thefts from vehicles in the town.
This now brings the total number of arrests made in connection with these reports to ten.
Following enquiries from Dorchester Neighbourhood Policing Team, a 36-year-old man from Dorchester, and a 31-year-old man from Yeovil in Somerset and were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, theft from a motor vehicle and fraud offences.
A 37-year-old woman from Dorchester was also arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle and fraud offences.
Officers are continuing to investigate the incidents.
Police Constable Glen Caddy, of the Dorchester Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We are continuing to investigate all of these matters and we want reassure local residents that we are taking appropriate action and all proportionate lines of enquiry are being covered.
“I would continue to urge vehicle owners to remain vigilant and report anyone seen acting suspiciously around vehicles to contact us immediately.
“We also strongly advise people to never leave valuables in their vehicles and ensure they are locked securely at all times.”
