COMMENTS are being welcomed on a plan to reduce the speed limit on part of a Dorset village road.
Dorset Council is proposing to make an order which will revoke the existing 40mph speed limit on Rye Hill, Bere Regis.
The plan would extend the current 30mph speed limit along the C6 Rye Hill, Bere Regis southwards for approximately 471 metres.
The order would be made under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
