THERE was another chance to see an episode of a comedian's pub walks programme featuring Dorset.
An episode of Bill Bailey's Perfect Pub Walks filmed on the Jurassic Coast was repeated on Channel 4 on Sunday night.
In the programme, comedian and Strictly Come Dancing winner Bailey teamed up with Paul Merton of Have I Got News fame to undertake three walks along the scenic stretch of coastline.
Viewers saw the pair walking and talking as they had some emotive conversations, discussing growing up, their formative years in comedy and the concept of leaving a legacy in life.
The walks they did were in the Purbeck area and showcased the beauty of Dorset on a perfect sunny day.
Walk number one saw the pair hike from Durlston Country Park in Swanage to the Square and Compass pub at Worth Matravers, after taking in the historic Portland Stone Great Globe at the country park, which dates back to 1887.
At the quirky Square and Compass pub, the two comics marvelled at the combination of a fossil museum and a hostelry and enjoyed pints and pasties in the beer garden.
After their second walk the pair called in at The Scott Arms in Kingston, enjoying jerk food straight out of Kingston, Jamaica in the Dorset namesake.
Proceedings were rounded off with a walk taking in the 11th century Corfe Castle and leading to the Bankes Arms at Studland.
This programme was first shown on March 5, 2024. You can still see it by viewing it on the Channel 4 catch-up service at channel4.com
