The A35 is closed this evening due to flooding and a vehicle is stuck in the water.
It is closed both ways due to flooding from Longlands Lane, Winterbourne Abbas, to Long Bredy Hut Lane, Kingston Russell.
This comes after a deluge of rain from Storm Bert battered Dorset.
A vehicle is also stuck in the water near Long Bredy. Fire crews from Dorchester and Bridport are currently attending.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
A spokesperson for Dorchester Fire Station said: "Crews from Dorchester and Bridport are currently at a vehicle stuck in water incident on the A35 near Long Bredy (to Winterborne Abbas).
"The road is currently closed so please avoid the area."
