Heavy rain from Storm Bert is expected to cause flooding in parts of Dorset.
A number of flood alerts, meaning flooding is possible, and even a flood warning, meaning flooding is expected, have been issued by the Environment Agency.
Due to prolonged heavy rainfall, river levels for the Upper Frome from Maiden Newton to Dorchester are rising rapidly and are expected to cause flooding.

A flood alert has also been issued for the Lower Frome and its tributaries.
Both the east and west coast of Dorset are warned that flooding is possible due to the winds. Flooding of roads and low-lying land is possible, but property flooding is not expected.
Weymouth rivers and streams may also flood, not to mention the rivers and streams in west Dorset, including Bridport and Lyme Regis.
