A mini road sweeper stolen from a layby on the A35 has been recovered by police.
The MIC 35 Road Sweeper and Brian James trailer were stolen from a layby on the A35 outside Puddletown sometime between Saturday, November 16 at 7.30pm and 4.30pm on Monday, November 18.
Following information from the public the MIC 35 sweeper was recovered this afternoon by the Rural Crime Team. It was found on a rural road outside Piddletrenthide.
The Brian James trailer remains outstanding.
PC Sebastian Haggett, from Dorset Rural Crime Team, said “Following a fault, these items had to be left at the roadside. Whilst we are happy that the sweep has been returned to the victim we are continuing to investigate this matter and search for the Brian James trailer.
“We are issuing a picture of the stolen trailer and I would ask anyone who saw anything suspicious to contact Dorset Police quoting the reference below."
