Train services are at a standstill in Dorset due to heavy snowfall.
Great Western Railway (GWR) have reported that all lines are blocked due to heavy snowfall between Maiden Newton and Upwey.
The company confirmed that the snow snow has caused a points failure at Dorchester West. station.
Train services running through these stations will be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or suspended between Westbury and Weymouth.
South Western Railway are conveying passengers between Southampton Central and Weymouth via Bournemouth and Dorchester South in both directions until further notice.
Arrangements have been made for Great Western Railway rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys.
A spokesperson for GWR said: "Apologies to customers, due to heavy snow the signaller is currently unable to operate the points in Dorchester. Points are the moving pieces of metal that enable trains to change tracks.
"Due to the snow we are struggling to resource replacement. Please speak to a member of staff or use the help point on the platform for further assistance.
"If you hold a valid single, return, or weekly ticket, you will be able to claim compensation for delays of 15 minutes or more. Please keep your ticket and visit GWR.com/DelayRepay
