This is despite many schools in the area closing due to heavy snow fall which has caused chaos on the roads and railway lines.
Many of the pupils have been outside enjoying the snow, making snowmen and enjoying various activities.
Art lessons have turned into "Sculpture Making," where pupils are designing and building snowmen, while PE has become "Target Practice," a safe and supervised snowball-throwing session aimed at improving coordination and teamwork.
Headteacher Gary Spracklen said: “For many of our children, this is the first time they’ve ever seen snow, and we want to make it a day to remember,”
Year Three pupil Phoebe is excited for the snow.
She said: “I’ve never seen snow like this before - it’s amazing! We’re learning how to make snowballs and build the best snowmen. It’s so much fun!”
Mr Spracklen added: “We’re incredibly grateful to our staff and community for their support in keeping the school running today,” added Mr. Spracklen. “This is learning in its most natural and memorable form - an experience our children will cherish forever.”
