An image appeal has been launched following the theft of a minibus.

As reported by the Echo, a minibus was stolen from Melcombe Regis, Weymouth and driven to Fox Close, Bradpole near Bridport.

It is reported that the man made off from the scene.

Officers investigating the theft of the minibus have now issued an image of a man they would like to identify.

A 33-year-old woman from Weymouth was also arrested on suspicion of theft, burglary and driving offences. She was released on police bail while enquiries continue.

Police Constable Jasper Beauchamp-Woodward, of Dorset Police, said: “Despite ongoing efforts, we have so far not been able to identify the man believed to be involved.

“I am now in a position to issue an image of the man and would ask anyone with information about his identity to please get in touch.”

The incident took place at 11.15am on Sunday, September 22 and police have only just issued the appeal.

According to Dorset Police there were no reports of any injuries.
