A NINE-year-old girl from Dorset has made her family "proud and excited" by starring in the newest Paddington film.

Tallulah Wright-Booth has recently starred as young Judy Brown in the third Paddington film, Paddington in Peru, and has her sights set on another very famous character.

The young Judy Brown character appears during a flashback in the film.

Tallulah and her family went to view the film on its release date November 8.

Tallulah’s mother Lucy said: “We all went to the cinema on Friday, the day it came out to watch it, it was very exciting.

“Obviously we’re very proud and excited."

Lucy added: “Hopefully this is the start of a glittering career.”

Tallulah is a member of Swish of The Curtain Theatre School, having joined when she was only four years old.

Through attending Swish, Tallulah was picked up by child talent agency, Sally King Agency.

Lucy Wright-Booth said that her daughter was put forward by the agency she’s with for the role of young Judy Brown, as they believed she fitted the brief.

Lucy also said that the audition process wasn’t long at all - after only four hours of filming the audition was complete.

For the audition process, Lucy and Tallulah travelled to Elstree to film with with Paddington stars, Hugh Bonneville and Emily Mortimer.

Alongside her feature in Paddington in Peru, Tallulah has starred in a number of other features.

She was in Sky comedy Smothered, an advert for Hampton by Hilton Hotels, and the new Barclays advert.

When asked about Tallulah’s future as a child actor, Lucy told the Echo that she is not sure how long she’ll continue but for the time being “she loves it, she absolutely loves it”.

Tallulah’s dream role for the future would be Hermione from Harry Potter.

Lucy said: “She's applied to the open casting for the new series being made and filmed next year."

For this series, the search is nationwide; however, even if Tallulah doesn’t land her dream role, Lucy said, "She’s got a little nest now”, and can do whatever she puts her mind to.
