A man will appear in court after being charged for two counts of assault.
Police received a report sometime on Friday afternoon (November 15) of a man ‘causing issues’ in Dorchester Town Centre.
According to police, the man was arrested for being drunk and disorderly, and has since been charged for two assaults: one allegedly on a café staff member and another reportedly on a staff member at a shop.
He is due to appear in court today.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “During the afternoon of Friday, November 15, officers were called to reports of a male causing issues in Dorchester town centre.
“The male was located by officers and initially arrested for being drunk and disorderly.
“He has since been Charged for two assaults. One on a member of staff at a café and for a separate assault on a shop worker.
“The male has been remanded in Custody and will appear in Court tomorrow morning.”
