A man will appear in court after he was shown as Wanted on a European Arrest Warrant.
Police patrolling Dorchester yesterday afternoon (Sunday, November 17) spotted a vehicle of interest along Bridport Road in Dorchester.
According to police, the vehicle was stopped on Acland Road, with the occupants spoken to.
The driver of the vehicle was then arrested after police say he was shown as Wanted on a European Arrest Warrant in relation to a suspected fraud offence in Poland.
He will appear in court later today.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Whilst on patrol this afternoon, Neighbourhood Officers sighted a vehicle of interest on Bridport Road, Dorchester.
“The vehicle was stopped on Acland Road a short time later and the occupants were spoken to.
“The driver was subsequently arrested, as he was shown as Wanted on a European Arrest Warrant in relation to a suspected fraud offence in Poland.
“The male remains in police custody and will be put before the Court tomorrow.”
