A man has suffered a serious head and arm injury in an assault in Dorchester.
A group of men assaulted the man outside an address on London Road, Dorchester at around 5am on Sunday, November 10 2024.
It was reported that the victim – a man aged in his 40s – was walking along the street with a woman when she attempted to climb through the window of an address, prompting four men to exit the property and assault the victim.
The victim then presented himself at the hospital for treatment of a serious head injury and arm injury.
Police Constable Antony Frost, of Dorset Police, said: “This was a nasty assault where the victim required hospital treatment for a serious injury.
“We are continuing to investigate a number of lines of enquiry to identify those responsible for this assault and I would urge anyone with information relating to this incident to please contact us.
“I am keen to speak to the woman who was reportedly with the man when the assault took place and I would urge her to come forward should she read this appeal.
“From our enquiries, we believe there may have been some people in the area around the time of this assault and I would be keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened.
“Furthermore, I would also like to hear from anyone who was driving in the area and may have captured relevant dashcam footage.”
