A concern for welfare call sparked a large emergency response in Lyme Regis.
Coastguard teams from Lyme Regis and Beer were joined by the Lyme Regis Inshore Lifeboat crew, and the ambulance service to deal with the incident.
Dorset Police were also informed.
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard confirmed that following the response, a person was passed safely into the care of South Western Ambulance Service.
