Year four pupils at a Dorchester school have showcased their creativity and innovation in a recent competition.

Students at The Prince of Wales School took part in ROAR 2024, which aims to inspire young people to work in teams and use their imaginations to think of ideas that can change the world for the better.

The event was hosted in partnership with Lions Club International on Tuesday, November 12, and highlighted the children’s remarkable ideas aimed at addressing global challenges.

It was judged by a panel which included Dorchester Mayor, Cllr Robin Potter.

Headteacher Gary Spracklen said: “This marks our fourth year participating in the ROAR competition with our local Lions Club.

“Our pupils have developed their ideas in small teams, creating concepts, models and sales pitches to showcase their big ideas for a better world. It is inspiring to see the passion and commitment each child brings to their project.”
