A streetlight damaged in a crash should be repaired within two weeks.

As reported by the Echo, a car crashed into a streetlight on Weymouth Way, leaving it bent.

The streetlight has since been cut down to a stump and taped off whilst it awaits repair.

The damage has been reported to Dorset Council with a spokesperson saying: “As per our standard process for damaged street light columns, it will be replaced within 15 days of the damage being reported to us.”

The incident took place at around 9.45pm on Saturday, November 9.

Police have confirmed that no injuries were reported and that recovery was arranged for vehicle later that night.
