A person had to receive medical assistance after suffering a knee injury.
Two coastguard crews from West Bay and Wyke rushed to the aid of the injured person in Abbotsbury after receiving a call for help.
Once the person was located, the team were able to safely escort them to an ambulance to receive medical attention.
A spokesperson for West Bay Coastguard said: “The teams were paged to reports of a person with a knee injury in the Abbotsbury area.
“Once the injured person was located, the teams worked together to get them back to a waiting ambulance. We wish them a speedy recovery.”
The incident took place on November 8, but details have just been released.
