Four Dorset residents have scooped an impressive £50,000 each in a premium bond prize draw.

They are amongst 55 other lucky winners in the county who have accumulated a combined prize total of £645,000 for high value prizes only.

Of these 55 winners, five people won £25,000, 18 people won £10,000, and 28 people won £5,000 and despite these impressive amounts, no one in Dorset won any of the top prizes.

The average holding amount of Premium Bonds that winners had in their accounts was £40,607.

At a national level, there were 1,511 winners of high value prizes for the month of November.

According to findings by Casino Alpha, in total £46,400,000 was won between 3,287 winners, with two people winning the £1m jackpot, 89 people winning £100,000, a further 177 winners scooping up £50,000, 356 securing £25,000, and 887 welcoming £10,000.

The luckiest region, based on winnings per £1000 in holdings, was Cornwall, whose winners received £1,690,000 with only £1,622,052 in holdings - £1,041 for every £1000 held.

Premium bond prize draws are conducted every month and see prizes up to £1,000,000 given away.
