Hundreds of people came out to pay their respects to those who have sacrificed their lives for freedom in Dorchester on Remembrance Sunday.

Led by the Royal British Legion, dignitaries, armed forces personnel, veterans, and many community groups marched from North Square to the War Memorial at the end of South Street.

A reading was read out by the mayor, Cllr Robin Potter, and a performance of The Last Post was performed by Joe Ansell, a student at Perrott Hill school.

Wreaths were then placed at the War Memorial by community groups and organisations including RAF and Army cadets, local schools and scout groups.

The service concluded with prayers, given by Reverend Keith Magee and the National Anthem.
