The van burst into flames just before 10pm last night and forced the road to close for around 12 hours.
Firefighters from Wimborne and Blandford were called to the blaze, along with Dorset Police which put in place the road closure as Dorset Council assessed the condition of the road.
The road closure was from the True Lovers Knot pub in Tarrant Keyneston and at the at the entrance road to Ashley Wood Golf Club.
Along with the fire destroying the Ford Transit van, there was damage to the road which will now need to be resurfaced.
Dorset Council has spread sand out on the road in the meantime and will repair the road in a couple of weeks,
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "The incident, which was reported to Dorset Police at 9.49pm last evening, Friday, November 8 occurred adjacent to the Ashley Wood Golf Club, Blandford.

"Fortunately no one was injured in the incident.
The road is about to be reopened, if not done already.
"The council were waiting for some sand to be spread across the carriageway and it was estimated to have been at scene 30 mins ago, at which point the road would be reopened.
"The carriageway will need to be resurfaced, but this will be done slow time in a couple of weeks or so."
A spokesperson for Dorset Council said: "Luckily nobody was injured and there was minimal damage to the carriageway which we have made good so the road can reopen.
