A dog suspected to have been involved in a serious attack on a woman has been seized by police.
As previously reported in the News, a local woman, aged in her 40s, was attacked by the two dogs, without an owner present, on Queens Walk, Lyme Regis at around 1pm on Monday, November 4.
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment to puncture wounds on her arm and leg.
Police say they have seized a dog suspected of being involved, and its owner is being investigated for these allegations.
They add that their assessment is that there is no ongoing risk to the public.
Following the incident, Magna Housing sent text messages to its residents in the area warning them that 'two large dogs are roaming free', urging residents to stay safe.

A spokesperson for Bridport Police said: "Dorset Police have responded to complaints about a dangerous dog in the Queens Walk area of Lyme Regis.
"Following complaints made by members of the public, Police have seized a dog suspected of being involved in these offences and the owner is now being investigated for these allegations.
"Our assessment is that there is no ongoing risk to the public.
"If anyone has concerns about such incidents, please report them to Dorset Police, such as dog attacks or bites. You can also report concerns of dog's behaviour to the Dorset Council Dog Warden."
