THE former Cadet Centre in Blind Land, Wimborne, could be demolished and replaced with an office building.
Dorset Council is being asked to decide a planning application for the change of use, which remains open for public comment until the end of the month.
The application comes from Ringwood-based Jade Aden Interiors and asks for the demolition of the existing hall and the building of a 1.5 storey detached building to be used as offices. The site was last used by the Scouts.
The proposed building, if approved, will have stained timber cladding under a slate roof with anthracite coloured doors and windows with the site retaining eight parking spaces.
Wimborne Town Council has raised no objection to the proposals with the application open to public comments until November 29 using the Dorset Council reference 2024/05323.
