A Guy Fawkes night bonfire had to be extinguished by firefighters.
A crew from Weymouth rushed to Bowleaze Cove beach to a bonfire which was still burning from the night before.
The fire was made up of a large amount of rubbish including packing peanuts, plastic balls, pieces of wood, metal, latex balloons and what appeared to be a sofa cushion.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the still smouldering bonfire using buckets of water and worked alongside nearby business owners to clear up the debris which had been left on the pebble beach.
It is unsure when the fire was started, but it is believed to have been burning overnight, until crews arrived at around 9.13am.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “On arrival we found a bonfire involving a quantity of rubbish which was extinguished using buckets of water and assisted local business owners to clear up and mess to reduce any environmental hazards.”
The stop, meaning that the incident had been dealt with and no further assistance was required, was at 9:53am.
