A car was seized in Weymouth after it was found to be in a "dangerous condition."
Neighbourhood officers from Weymouth and Portland Police supported by the force support group and the enforcement team, stopped a blue car on Radipole Lane in Weymouth this afternoon (Tuesday, November 5).
It was found to be in a "dangerous condition" due to its several defects.
The driver has been issued a traffic offense report and the car has been seized.
Weymouth and Portland Police have subsequently issued a reminder for drivers to keep their vehicles in a suitable condition.
A spokesperson said: "For reference the legal limit for tyre tread depth in the UK for a car is 1.6mm, this was certainly not being obeyed by this driver."
