A talk on the local history of Dorset rivers will take place later this month.
The National Trust South Dorset Association has arranged for Mary Van Coller to give a talk on Thursday, November 14.
Taking place at the St Aldhelm’s Church Centre on Spa Road in Weymouth, the talk will start from 2.30pm.
Mary Van Coller will bring illustrated tales and fascinating facts from her book "Downstream Dorset, River Tales and Local History".
The focus of the talk will be on Weymouth, Dorchester and the surrounding areas and tells of Dorset folk living alongside the flowing rivers.
Copies of her book will be on sale with 20 per cent of all profits donated to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
Entry to the event is £3 for members, and £4 to the public.
