An event is being held for anyone with a passion for the outside.

Listen to a talk and watch a short film by one of the UK's best rock climbers and adventurers at the Dorset Adventure Café in Castletown on Portland on Saturday, November 9 at 7pm.

Robbie Phillips, a professional rock climber and adventurer, will share wild stories, funny anecdotes and enough psych to get people out on their own adventures.

He is returning to the adventure café after his last sell-out visit in January 2023 and has further tales of more adventures around the world bagging E10's and unclimbed routes, here, there and everywhere.

His talk will be called 'Bad day at the Office' - a compendium of stories of when things have got a bit wild in his climbing, sharing some of the formative moments in his bigger climbing adventures and learning how to stay safe, even if the road to get there was a little rocky at times.

Attendees will also be able to see some of Robbie's most recent adventures in Scotland and watch a film.

Tickets cost £25 and will include the talk and film and a curry served by the café.

Profits from the event will go to the Dorset Bolt Fund, which has been set up by a group of committed volunteer climbers, with a passion for climbing in our area.
