Those looking to do their Christmas shopping in Dorchester are set to benefit from free parking in the run-up to the big day.
Most of the Dorset Council car parks will be free to park for six Saturdays and one Thursday in the run-up to Christmas.
Starting on Saturday, November 9, the scheme will run each Saturday until December 7, with one final day on Thursday, December 12.
This excludes on-street street parking, which will still be charged.
The free parking scheme is run in collaboration between the Dorchester BID and Dorchester Town Council. It is put in place every year to give local businesses and shoppers a welcome boost.
