A van suspected to have been involved in the illegal dumping of waste in Dorset has been seized.
The white Vauxhall Vivaro van (including personal items and waste) was seized in Higher Shaftesbury Road, Blandford by Dorset Council's Environmental Enforcement Team.
The van is subject to a live investigation and is suspected to have been involved in fly tipping and other environmental crimes in the county.
It was seized on Friday, October 25 at 4.05pm however details have only just been made available by the Environmental Enforcement Team.
It has been seized, pending investigation, under section 5 of the Control of Pollution (Amendment) Act 1989, the transporting controlled waste without being registered.
The seizure is also under sections 33/34/34B of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, the breach of duty of care and illegal depositing of waste.
If a seizure notice has been published and served per regulations and no valid claim is made then the authority may immediately dispose of the vehicle.
The claim must be fully supported by the evidence/documentation and be made before Saturday, November 16.
