A dog has been rescued from a 'prickly' situation after becoming tangled in barbed wire this morning.
A crew from Wareham Fire Station was called to the aid of the four-legged friend and were able to safely release the dog from the barbed wire.
Cuts to dogs from barbed wire can often be more complicated than regular cuts, even potentially requiring sedation for treatment.
A spokesperson for Wareham Fire Station said: "It’s not just cats we rescue, this morning we came to the aid of another four-legged friend.
"Sadly our furry friend made a poor life choice today and got badly tangled in some barbwire.
"But never fear Wareham Fire Station came to the rescue and the pooch was soon released."
